Norwegian Cruise Line Cruises

Among cruise companies in the world, few stand as tall as the Norwegian Cruise Lines when it comes to the opinions of guests. Norwegian Cruise Lines was established in 1966 by a Norwegian company out of Oslo, but in 2000, they were bought out by a company that was called Star Cruises. Star Cruises was the largest Asian cruise provider at the time of purchase and since their acquisition of Norwegian Cruise Lines, the company’s revenue has exploded. They’ve added a total of eight new ships since 2000 whereas the original owners had only scaled up to five ships from 19766 to 1979 – all of those ships except one have been sold to make room for the new cruisers that custom cater to guests wants and needs!

Norwegian Cruise Line Cruises

Destinations Across the World

The Norwegian Cruise Line offers many cruises across the world. While folks in the States on the East Coast may be more familiar with Caribbean trips and quick getaway trips from New York or Miami, those in LA and Seattle know Norwegian Cruise Lines for being a great provider of services up to Vancouver and the Western coast of Canada. Below, find a list of just some of the ports that NCL travels to: this is not a complete list but just a few ports to show the breadth of the cruise destinations that NCL offers.

  • New York City
  • Miami
  • Los Angeles
  • Seattle
  • King’s Wharf, (Bahamas)
  • Bermuda
  • Barcelona
  • Venice

No matter where you live or where you want to go for your vacation cruise, Norwegian Cruise Lines will be locally available and they’ll get you wherever it is that you want to go!

“Freestyle Cruising”

The main reason why Norwegian Cruise Lines has had enormous success since they came under new management in 2000 is because of the implementation of the “freestyle cruising” philosophy. What “freestyle cruising is” is a commitment from the cruise line that you will have your cruise vacation filled with all of the activities and events that you enjoy most. Since all of the ships are of behemoth size, plenty of activities like rock wall climbing, power aerobics, full casino halls and more are available right on the ship! Depending on whether you’re an adventurous vacationer or more of a relaxation-type, you’ll be picking and choosing different activities available on the boat and off of it when your cruise pulls into a destination on it’s route! There’s also a kids center for small kids, disco dances for the teens, (with non-alcoholic beverages) and Broadway-style performances including the Second City comedy troupe, Circque du Soleil and the Blue Man Group!

General Pricing Info and Trip Packages

Depending on the cruise liner that you want to rent a cabin in and depending on the length and destination of your cruise, your package can range quite widely in price. For instance, if you’re interested in a quick, two-day getaway trip, inside cabins are usually listed starting at just $149! There’s a price and destination to fit anyone’s vacation!
